Happy Birthday Dave!!

My wonderful boyfriend turned 24! I have not been doing too much crafting lately, but I did manage to make him a card. He LOVES the Greenbay Packers football team and even got me to watch football with him. That is the theme of this card. Here we are at the Cardinals vs Packers game:For this card I used my Cricut to create the card itself. The Paper Pups cartridge has a card feature and a lot of great greeting card sayings including this happy birthday one. I cut the star design from the Home Decor cartridge and added a green jewel star embellishment. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the green circle background under the sentiment and to emboss the dot stripes up each side. I free-hand drew a large football shape, cut it out and used the small dots CB folder to emboss it. I cut strips of white paper for the lace on the ball. I used my CB alphabet/number dies for Dave's name and the #24 (since it is his 24th bday.) I stamped, colored and cut out the cute little "Quarterback Ian." He is from The Greeting Farm. They have the sweetest little cartoon people and if love to stamp you should check them out! They have digital images too for those of us who are not the most skilled stampers. I inked the edges and dots with green ink and voila! I also made some oreo cake balls insead of a cake! Yum Yum!!

CHALLENGES:

The challenge at Three Clovers is a back to school theme using numbers. This card reminds me of all those high school football games I used to go to with all my friends! Ian has a #10 on his jersey and the #24 is on there too.

365 Cards had an interesting challenge today! The challenge was to grab one challenge from June, one from July, and one from August and combine them to make a card. It was fun going back and looking at all the past challenges they have had! I used the challenges from Aug 29th, July 22nd, and June 19th. On Aug 29th the challenge was to use sports balls on the card. I used a football. On July 22nd the challenge was "you raise me up," which was a challenge about using raised elements. I used the star jewel and the embossing for my raised elements. The June 19th challenge was "say it with stripes." I used the dots stripe on each side of the card and stripes on the football.

The challenge at Crafty Creations Challenges was "windows." The birthday sentiment is cut by the Cricut in a window style.

Charisma Cardz's challenge is "Getting Sporty," which fits perfectly with the overall theme of my card.

THANKS FOR LOOKING! ( : I love all the positive feedback from everyone and any advice too so leave me some love! Thanks again!!
