Our First Ski Trip Together Layouts

This is a couple of 8x8 layouts of the first time my boyfriend and I went skiing together. I love that skiing is a hobby we can share!
I love the torn paper look on this layout! It reminds me of snow. I entered it in the paper tearing challenge at Frosted Designs and the distress challenge at Little Red Wagon. I also entered it in the snowflakes challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and at KL Stampin N Scrappin. I also entered it in the Christmas challenge at Pollycraft Challenge,Belli challenge, and Papertake Weekly. The challenge at 3 Clovers was Christmas with no red or green. The Crafty Calendar Challenge was to show weather and I went snow for this one. I also entered in the Allsorts Challenge for the Christmas song, "White Christmas." The challenge at Christmas Blog Challenge was no Christmas stamps and no Christmas patterned paper. The monthly challenges at Creatalicious Challenge and Cute and Girly were for winter/Christmas projects.

I'm thinking about putting the date or some journaling underneath the picture of us together, so I will add that pic once I get it done. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Slide Rock and Sedona Scrapbook Pages

These are more of my 8x8 scrapbook pages. These pictures are from a trip we took to Sedona. The challenge for the Alphabet Challenge Blog is F for Flowers, so this first page has a red flower with a souvenir penny as the center: I love this color combo and it fits perfectly with the Quixotic Challenge challenge: Kraft and Red. The Little Paper Shop also has a red, brown, and kraft color challenge.

I distressed, tore, and chalked the edges of this layout so I am entering it in Little Red Wagon Challenge #3: Distress It Up.

I have used paper tearing in several of my Sedona layouts and that was the challenge this week at Frosted Designs

California Vacation Scrapbook Pages

I thought I would share a few of my scrapbook layouts. This is going to be a gift album for my boyfriend (as soon as I get it done-LOL). These are pictures from our trip to California for my birthday. The challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar is to use pink and brown. I think the sand color counts as a light brown, right? The Design Dollies are challenging us to create a watery themed project. The theme at Crafty Catz is Celebration and the layout below is of my friends, my boyfriend, and I celebrating my 22nd birthday. The challenge at Incy Wincy is anything goes, but they do have a nice sketch I would like to use someday!
The challenge at Practical Scrappers is stitching. I love the look of real stitching, but I usually just grab a gel pen and do some faux stitching. The heart above has some stitching that I doodled with a silver pen.

Welcome Baby Allison Gift Bag

This is a gift bag that I made for my cousin Sarah's baby shower. Her baby girl is going to be named Allison and her nursery is decorated in pink and brown with butterflies. I thought I would enter it in a few challenges as well:

Safari CD Envelope

This is a little envelope for a mix CD that I made for one of my friends. I used my Cricut and the ZooBalloo cartridge for the animals and PaperPups for the "Best Friends" sentiment and Home Decor for the leaf. I cut the CD envelope using Cricut Design Studio and a .cut file from Capadia Designs (http://capadiadesigns.blogspot.com/2008/04/cd-envelopes.html). I also decided to enter it in a few challenges:
Above is a picture of me feeding a giraffe at the zoo here in AZ. I really do love giraffes! They are such gentle giants. Thanks so much for stopping by and looking at creation! I always appreciate your feedback and sweet comments!

Happy (Belated) Halloween!

Here is a little circle card that I made for Halloween. The flower cut is from Plantin Schoolbook, the Boo is from a Cuttlebug folder, and the paper was from the Target dollar bin from a while back. I am entering it in the Just Buggin' challenge this week- "Something Frightful." I also entered it in Kelly Jo's Color Chef Challenge which was black orange, purple, green, and white. I also entered in Crafty Calendar Challenge's first challenge- Autumn. Papertake Weekly's challenge was Spots and Stripes and I would say this card has plenty of stripes! Trimmie's Craft Challenge, Secret Crafter Saturday, and Crazy4Challenges all have a Halloween theme this week so I entered all of those challenges. Creative Inspiration Challenge was to doodle on your creation, so I have happy halloween, doodled in silver pen around the edge of the card.

Hope everyone had a very safe and happy halloween this year! Thanks for stopping by! I will leave you with a pic of me as the wicked witch of the [south]west! If you haven't tried FaceinHole.com it is a very fun way to waste some time! ( :
